Terms of Use

Dreamy is in early access.

This is a test phase, not a finished public product. Anyone may sign up and try Dreamy free for one week, so you can see what it is. Beyond that week, continued creating is enabled by us for a small number of testers while we build — everyone else is welcome to wait for the public launch, and keeps read access in the meantime.

Nobody is charged and we never ask for card details. Things will change: features may appear, change or disappear, and there will be bugs. We are not yet a registered company; if this phase goes well we intend to become one and launch properly, and these terms will be replaced in full at that point. We may also decide not to continue, in which case we will tell you and delete what we hold.

Who may use Dreamy

You must be an adult to hold a Dreamy account. Dreamy is designed for a parent, guardian, or other adult to operate on a child's behalf. If you let a child use the app, it should be alongside you and on your account — there are no child accounts.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens on it.

What you type into Dreamy

You are responsible for the story ideas, titles, and other text you enter. Please don't enter anything unlawful, hateful, or inappropriate for a children's product, and please don't enter other people's personal information.

Every story idea passes an automatic child-safety check before a story is written. Ideas that aren't suitable for a children's story are declined, and declined ideas don't count against your plan. We may decline or remove content that breaches these terms.

Stories the app creates

Stories, pictures, and narration are produced by AI models from the settings and ideas you provide. That means:

Output varies — the same idea will not produce the same story twice.
AI makes mistakes. Stories may contain factual errors, and pictures may not match the words exactly. Please read a story before sharing it with your child if that matters to you.
Anything presented as educational is a starting point for a grown-up, not a substitute for a curriculum, a teacher, or professional advice.

Stories you create are yours to enjoy and print at home with your family. They stay private to your account — Dreamy currently has no way to publish them or make them public, and we never add them to our library. You may not resell them or present them as human-authored work.

The library

Stories in the Dreamy library are made and curated by us. They are there for you to read within the app. Please don't republish them elsewhere.

Recordings you make

If you record a narration, you confirm that the voice is yours, or that you have the permission of the adult whose voice it is. Do not record a child's voice. Recordings stay private to your account and you can delete them at any time. See the Privacy Policy for how they are stored.

What access you get during early access

Anyone who signs up gets a free one-week trial on our basic plan. It starts when you create your account. You do not need an invitation and you do not need to give us any payment details.

When the week ends, your account becomes read-only. This is the part worth understanding, because it is deliberately gentle:

Nothing you made is deleted. Every story you created stays in your account and you can keep reading it.
You can still read the Dreamy library and use your child profiles and learning trail.
You cannot create new stories until either we enable continued access for you, or we launch publicly.

Beyond the trial week, continued creating is enabled by us, by hand, for a small number of testers whose feedback we are working through. That is a practical limit on how much we can support and pay for right now, not a judgement about anyone. If we do not enable your account, you are very welcome to wait for the public launch — we will let account holders know when it happens.

We may enable, limit, extend or withdraw access at our discretion during this phase, and we may change plans and limits. We will give notice of meaningful changes to anyone affected.

Nothing is charged during early access, we do not collect payment details, and no account will ever be charged automatically off the back of these terms. If we introduce paid plans later we will publish payment terms and ask you to agree to them first.

Your content, and ours

The stories, ideas and recordings you create remain yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, process it through the AI models that generate and check it, and display it back to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not use your stories or recordings to train AI models, and we do not publish them — there is currently no way for your content to be made public at all.

Dreamy itself — the software, the library stories we write, the artwork, the name and the branding — belongs to us, and using the service does not transfer any of it to you.

Ending your use

You can delete your account whenever you like from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used in a way that puts children or the service at risk.

No warranty

Dreamy is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and to keep what it produces appropriate for children, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or perfectly suited to every child.

Limits on our liability

Dreamy is a free early-access product for making bedtime stories. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or loss of profit or opportunity arising from your use of it, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us (which, during early access, is nothing) or 100 US dollars.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights your local consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes those away.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your own country, or of your right to bring a claim there.

The rest

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something straight away, we haven't given up the right to do so later. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them if the product moves to a company we set up or is acquired, and we will tell you if that happens.

Changes to these terms

We will update this page and its date if these terms change, and will tell account holders directly about significant changes.
